Term 5 has begun, and we couldn't be more excited! Kampers have even waiting ALL summer to get here, and we're anxious to make their last few weeks of summer the best of them all. Opening day went smoothly, and we love having all the new faces in the gates of K-West! We're excited to spend the next week or two weeks with your kiddos. Thanks for letting us hang out with them! Here's a glimpse into the day....

From the 20's to the 70's all the way to today, we danced through the decades in style at Flashback! To kick things off, characters from the appropriate era showed up at the party to teach their style of dance. There was swing dancing from the 20's, the YMCA, Disco, Hammer Time and of course Justin Bieber had to make an appearance. Unfortunately just an imposter. The rest of the night, the Kampers kept the dances going and had a ton of fun doing it. They also enjoyed classic coke floats as well!
While the boys were being men, the girls boarded their cruise for the day, the U.S.S. YWUYAAB! Our voyage began with breakfast in 'bed'...on the porch followed by cruise ship orientation. Here the girls learned that YWUYAAB stands for 'You Wouldn't Understand, You are a Boy! From here we entered our first endeavor of the day, the cake decorating competition (highlighted earlier). Every cruise must be documented for memories, so our girls proceeded to cabin photo shoots. Lunch was immediately followed by a stop at the 'beach' for our excursion!
After reboarding the ship, we were excited to enter into our talent portion of the day. The fun part about this is that your Kampers are the entertainers of his event!
And the winner...cabin 8!!!
We ended the day with rotations between hair braiding, nail painting and chocolate fountaining!

What's brave, fun and shirtless? MEN. Yesterday was Man Day at K-West where the fellas got to do all things manly and learn a few things along the way. They had canoe races, built fires and even ended the day with a formal dinner. Here's a few pictures along the way.

K-West added a new day to our schedule this summer. Man Day and Girl Day have been a hit! A highlight of Girl Day is our cake decorating contest. We might as well be on The Food Network because we have judges, rules and challenges along the way. At the end of our competition all the cakes were pretty impressive, but cabin 11 prevailed! Here's some inside scoop...

Last night was our second party of the summer! Since our theme this summer is 'Game On,' we decided to take this to heart and have a Game Universe party. Costumes ranged from the Monopoly guy to twister boards to Mario. Kampers traveled through six life size games throughout the evening. Here's an inside peek...
We started out old school with a game called Pong.
