You Wouldn't Understand, You Are A Boy...Welcome aboard the U.S.S. YWUYAAB where fun and relaxation is a requirement. From breakfast in bed, to a cake decorating competition, to cabin photo shoots, to pool party, to talent show, to chocolate fountain, girl Kampers decided this was the best day ever!!!
Men being men...from pushing trucks at World's Strongest Man, to octoball, to being shirtless all day, to seeing things be safely blown up, to formal dinner, these boys learned tons about being men and had lots of fun in the process. Here's some fun shots of the day...
Party night!!! Tonight's theme: Game Universe! Kampers rotated through stations of life size games!!! From Mario Kart to Pong, Wheel of Fortune to Guess Who and War to Human Kinect, classic and modern day games were running rampant through K-West. The costumes your kids come up with still amaze us! Check out some of the party....
Tonight it was time to Stampede!!! A nice western picnic started off our evening as we enjoyed chicken tenders, cheesy potatoes, salad, rolls and cobbler in front of K-West's Town Hall/Church. From there we were able to learn how to two step and we made our way to the dance. With classics like 'Sweet Home Alabama' and newbies like 'Love Story' and 'Oklahoma/Texas Line' filling the air, we were able to dance the night away under the stars. Check out some of the fun we had tonight...
K-Life!!!! You never know what the programs team will pull out of their hat for K-Life. This summer is no different. Tonight is K-Life at K-West...check out some of the crazy fun the Kampers are having!
It has been a first full day filled with excitement here at K-West. We opened our day with pancakes, flag and best bunkhouse, then we spent our morning doing cabin games. Talk about killing two birds with one stone...familiarize Kampers with kamp and cabin bonding all at once!
Kayak in the pool?!
Kuk 8's cheer... Komo 10's cheer...
The evening ended with tribal night where the Cherokees, Choctaws, Kickapoos and Kiowas added new Kampers to their tribes!
We sure have had a fun first day and look forward to many more!
